The Polish National Police Headquarters Program "Prevention and You"

PaT is the abbreviation for the Polish National Police Headquarters program "Prevention and You" (in Polish: Profilaktyka a Ty), which began operating March 11, 2006. The program is prepared for anyone who is involved with humanistic idea. The main value of this initiative are the individuals, who want to act for other people’s good. The main idea of PaT program is building community able to promote the trend towards the life without addiction among young people.
Program "Prevention and You" is a leader of the Polish government’s program to reduce crime and antisocial behavior “Safer Together”.
The PaT program covers below areas:
- Action (meetings youth and parents)
- Information (www.pat.policja.gov.pl)
- Education (research and scientific debate)
- Certificate “PaT supports us” (honor the best local projects)
- Action Stopover PaT (meeting of the program community)
Stopover PaT is an annual few days’ meetings of young people engaged in creative prevention activities. Each day is full of art workshops, addiction prevention workshops, concerts, theatrical performances and youth discussion forums. PaT Stopover ends with an open to public show demonstration of the workshop effects. In the year 2011, the PaT Stopover, to be organized by the Poland, in Ostrołęka and Kadzidło will be a meeting of young people from Europe to exchange best practices in the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

Information for participants of VI Stopover PaT:
If you have already backed a beer in your rucksack, do not come ! You made a wrong choice - it's not right party for you!
If you think alike (see point 1). And the art world makes you feel at home, feel invited.
Accommodation traditionally free of charge, inclassrooms on police mattresses in your own sleeping bags.
If you want to come, you should be 18 years old!
Better safe than sorry - insurance on your own.
Patrol will welcome you on 5 July from 9.00 am to 2 pm at: Bus Station at 14.00 Ostroleka Street. Boguslawski 21 or Ostrołęka Street station. Żeromskiego 11 or directly on site.
